To me, the most annoying part about sprinkling the lawn and garden is directing the water where it belongs. Often, this entails sprinting to the sprinkler to adjust the position or setting while trying to avoid showering yourself. The Gardena Aquazoom makes this process almost painless. It allows you to adjust of the width of the spray, on either or both sides, the oscillation span, and, and amount of water, all right on the device, itself. This means that you can actually turn off the water flow or adjust the amount right on the sprinkler, without going to the tap to adjust the flow.
These conveniences are worth every penny that you pay for the Aquazoom.

Longevity? I have run mine for 5 seasons, until the oscillating feature quit working this year and I bought another. Sure, I would like it to work forever or be repairable. However, the convenience, efficiency and effectiveness of this sprinkler justify its replacement.

I bought a Gardena Aquazoom 350/T in September of '08 and it didn't even last one season! $50 down the drain! (I know this isn't the exact same model, but they all appear to be constructed the same way and out of the same materials.) It will now only water an area roughly 8'x 10'. I discovered that the rubber nozzles seem to be all linked together and once that rubber membrane wears out, that's it, you're out a sprinkler because the leak this creates ruins your water pressure. I bought this after reading several gleaming reviews, I'm sorry to say my experience has been quite the opposite. I've tried Googling the company but they're out of the U.K. and no warranty information was available online; believe me, I tried finding some information for over two hours. Yes, there was a repair link but in our disposable society I don't think it would be worth it to get it repaired instead of replacing it, which is what I'm trying to do now. Any suggestions? BUY ANY OTHER BRAND BUT THIS ONE!


It is June 1, 2010, and I have received a brand-new Gardena Sprinkler from Canada, so thank you W. Busch for your patient and kind advice that I contact Gardena; it worked. Thank you to the kind folks at Gardena for standing behind your product and replacing my defective sprinkler with a new one. It cost me $13 and change to ship it to Canada but it was worth it. I really liked this sprinkler when it was new and I hope that this one performs better; regardless, I like a company that stands behind its products and Gardena has done so. I now recommend this company and its products.

As a gardener who often waters his garden but never his lawn, this is a god-send. It is so versatile because one can adjust the spray angle on both sides of the spray--how wide do you want it and to what degree per side. And you can adjust the water volume at the sprinkler itself, thus saving running back and forth to the faucet. Plus, the angle of sprinkling depth can be controlled--do you want a great sweeping spray reaching from side to side, or do you one of more limited range, say from straight up to just a few feet into the garden.

I strongly recommended this product.

As a side: the next level up of this product incorporates a timer that will shut off the water after a selected interval. I've owned that product in the past, but now I do not miss the timer. For me it is not worth the additional cost.
